The Crowsnest Pass Cross Country Ski Association is hosting the second annual Flight of the Crows Loppet X-Country Ski Race in Allison - Chinook Cross Country Ski Area on February 4, 2012. Congratulations to the Crowsnest Pass Cross Country Ski Association for hosting a fun, well organized event  last February, 2011,  The weather was gorgeous a crisp minus 15 and the snow conditions were very good.  Participants enjoyed a well groomed track with spectacular scenery.  Over 35 folks, from age 4 to 64 participated in the family ski and 7.5 or 15 km race. People traveled from Calgary, Lethbridge and even from as far as Edmonton to take part in the loppet and everyone had a great time.  With close to 20 enthusiastic volunteers and members of the Crowsnest Pass Rescue Squad, this first annual loppet went off without a hitch.

Last year, Mike and Susanne Hertwig-Jaksch traveled all the way from Edmonton just for the race, they agreed it was another excellent reason for them to come to beautiful Crowsnest Pass!  "The event was well organized, Hertiwig-Jaksch said, with lots of good information on the website.  We are so happy they started a loppet here, the conditions and scenery were great!”  Both Mike and Susanne hope to be back next year!

Best Seasons or Dates to Visit
