Comments and Ratings

I attended the Loon and Fish Festival in Seeley Lake last year, which is organized by Alpine Artisans. I was impressed by the quality craftsmenship and the spirit of cooperation within the group.

FALL TOUR OF THE ARTS WEEKEND- September 4, 5 and 6 and October 3 and 4

Alpine Artisans' annual Fall Tour of the Arts features a self-guided tour to the studios of working artists in the Seeley, Swan and Blackfoot Valleys. During the Fall Tour Weekends, studios will be open on Tour days from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

On the Tour, you have a chance to visit photographer's studios, the working space of watercolor artists, see sculptors, woodworkers, a metalsmith and jeweler at work. A number of studios host other artists who share their work with the visitors.

The Tour of the Arts is a unique opportunity to embrace the special world of the artisan while exploring one of Montana's most spectacular areas. Every guest is treated to a cordial visit and homemade treats. It's a festive, relaxed and fun and free activity suitable for the young and old alike!

Maps and information are available at the Grizzly Claw Trading Co, the Stage Station, and the Chamber of Commerce in Seeley Lake, the Mission Mountain Mercantile in Condon and Chris' Tea Cottage in Bigfork. For more information visit www.alpineartisans.org or call Martha at 406/793-5706.
