The Chateau Kimberley is an elegant new luxury boutique hotel located in downtown Kimberley.
In 2001, the Sullivan Mine, Kimberley's biggest employer for 100 years, ceased operation. Its Head Office was restored and renovated with an European decor, and operates today as a lovely historic place to relax and revive: The Chateau Kimberley. Renovations to the hotel were completed in 2004.
The building originated in Moyie, and was brought to Kimberley by train in 1930.
