Lovingly restored by owners Don and Rose Saby, CPR House B&B in Cranbrookâs historic Baker Hill area welcomes you with the mellow charm of days gone by.
Built in 1900 to accommodate Canadian Pacific Railway superintendents and their families, this grand home reflects the quiet elegance of the period. Although located just minutes from downtown, its serene setting of towering fir trees and expansive lawns offer a haven, away from the busyness of modern life.
Wandering through the interior of this gracious home, it is easy to imagine the rustling of skirts, tinkle of fine china and the soft strains of music drifting in from the parlour.
The three well-appointed and comfortable rooms bear the names of Flett, Cameron and Proctor, the former being CPR superintendents and the latter, previous owner Louise Proctor.
The Flett Suite offers 2 luxury queen beds, a separate sitting room for reading and relaxing and a private bath with rain-shower and extra deep tub.
Romance the night away or just relax in the Cameron Room, complete with a 2-person garden tub, separate shower and an ultra-comfortable king-sized bed.
The Proctor Room comes with a luxury queen bed, a large bath with claw-foot tub and shower as well as access to the 65-foot veranda that overlooks the very private front lawn.
Refrigerators are located in each of the rooms. Other rooms to enjoy are the Grand Dining Room, Games Room and Parlour.

There are no word to really describe the experience at this wonderful B & B. I am an experienced B&B traveller and must say that this is right up there with the best. Lovely home, wonderfully decorated, quiet and restful and great gourmet breakfasts are served by very hospitable hosts Rose and Don.
This is a must see B & B in the heart of Cranbrook...lovely site We will most certainly get back there before too too long.
Highly recommended.
