Glacier’s Birds of Prey

Elevation: 3156 FT (962 M)
Description of Group or Organizational Experience

Join us to investigate the biology and conservation of hawks, eagles, owls, and falcons along with all twenty-nine species of birds of prey found in Glacier National Park. We will make our way down to lower McDonald Creek, the former world renowned bald eagle congregation site, to look at feeding and roosting sites, along with an evening outing to look and listen for night hunters. Traveling to the Park’s east side and around the lesser traveled roads (200 miles round trip), we will stop to look at nesting and migrating raptors such as eagles, Swainson’s hawks and prairie falcons.
