Introduction

During the summer of 2011, 33-year-old videographer and avid hiker Jake Bramante is aiming to become the first person in a single season to hike all 734 miles of established trails in Glacier National Park.

Full Explanation

Due to the relative shortness of the hiking season, Jake has meticulously been researching and coordinating all aspects of his endeavor for the past several months. Averaging 13 miles a day, it will take him approximately 6 months to complete the trip, and he will actually travel more than 1,000 miles because many trails within the park require a hiker to retrace their steps.

Before and during the trip, Jake will be updating his Blog, Twitter and Facebook accounts, and will also post videos. He also encourages residents and visitors alike to join him on a hike. The following links will guide you toward that information.
