International Old Time Accordion Championships

Kimberley's International Old Time Accordion Championships are held every second week in July (Monday through Saturday). This annual event includes cash prizes, evening concerts, family dances, platzl entertainment, pancake breakfasts, barbecues, jam sessions, workshops, and guest artists. Featured guest artists perform in the Civic Centre, including orchestral, family dance, family band, and accordion-only performances.
Platzl entertainment is free; Feature concerts at Civic Centre - admission fee applies.

Accordionists from all over the world gather in Kimberley for a week-long celebration of daily entertainment. There's lots of free entertainment each day in the Platzl - grab your dancing shoes, bring your smiles and your lawn chairs. Accordion competitions and evening performances are located in the Civic Centre.
