Comments and Ratings

The Wendell's have traveled the mountian wilderness many times with the Todd's and K Lazy 3, using the fixed camp format and also the oving camp format. Include a number of years elk hunting in the Meadow Creek camp. There is a reson we have continued to return to the K Lazy 3. First, they provide the necessary facilities to get us into the beautiful back country of the Rocky Mountians, - God's country. Because they truly care about this pristine wilderness and their clients that they bring to it, they provide the most comfortable, safet equipment possible, from horses and mules to tents cots, cooking fascilities to satilite phones. But, most importantly, Brett and Julie show you the true meaning of western hospitality. Because they enjoy this environment to much their enthusiasm and excitement carries over. While we started as clients, we have become extended family. The Wendells would be lost without yearly adventures with K Lazy 3 and the Todd's.

Description of Professional Guided Experience

The K Lazy Three's personal goal is to provide a Rocky Mountain wilderness experience for the entire family. Over a million acres of scenery and solitude await you in the Bob Marshall and Scapegoat Wilderness. In this vast unspoiled mountain beauty; abundant Montana game and fish, fly fishing, photography, sight seeing, hiking, or just horseback riding can all be enjoyed daily. K Lazy 3 will work with you to tailor the ideal adventure vacation for your family or group in terms of flexible dates, length of stay, activities, group size and trip format (fixed camp or roving camp). Give K Lazy 3 a call and let them try to work with you in providing a wilderness travel adventure that meets your needs.

Brett and Julie Todd have lived in Montana their whole lives. They both went to high school in Big Timber and shortly thereafter were married. Brett went to college in Rapid City on a rodeo scholarship, when finished with school Brett and Julie moved back to Big Timber. Brett then began riding bulls professionally while working the family ranch. Being outdoors and handling livestock are is second nature to the Todd’s. That is one of the reasons for their success in outfitting. Giving us the chance to display true stewardship of the land, and the animals that live there. Spend time with the Todd family and find western hospitality while enjoying a wilderness adventure where the U. S. Forest Service Impact Philosophy is followed: "Disguise the sight and sound of your passage, leaving no sign that you were ever there." The Todd’s have three children- Gary, Jacki and Tedi Jo.

K Lazy Three's guides are anything but lazy. They can lead you to a base camp along Meadow Creek, a tributary to the famed Blackfoot River, where you can define day trips into the surrounding wilderness. You will travel in different directions each day depending upon the activities desired; fly fishing, sightseeing, hiking, photography, or just plain horseback riding. There are numerous destinations; twin lakes, the old gold mine, Sourdough basin, the top of Bugle Mountain. Each night you will return to base camp where the cook will have a hearty dinner waiting with fresh baked "goodies". The Meadow Creek camp is 14 miles or a 5 hour ride from the Indian Meadows trail head.

Alternately, you can experience the wilderness by traveling between various "roving camps." Every morning, camp will be packed along with you, unless you have a notion to stay in one place for a bit longer. This allows the group to extend adventure travel and cover more country, try different fly fishing "holes", and enjoy more and varied horseback riding. Comfortable nylon camp tents with foam mattresses are provided. The "traveling kitchen" provides hearty western meals. Contact Brett for any other information or visit the web site at www.klazy3.com
