The Key City Theatre provides a first-class performing arts, conference and cultural centre for residents of the area, drawing audiences from across the region and province. The Key City Theatre hosts over 40,000 patrons a year. Performances and events include: art receptions, entertainers, dance festivals and competitions, concerts, motivational media, piano recitals and theatrical performances. They provide the community and area with a sense of culture and entertainment, and also a centre for growth and new perspectives. The city's own Symphonie of the Kootenays presents a classical season of orchestral music, soloists and chamber music.
