My favourites are the Sovital Rye Bread, the chili & bun for lunch..and sometimes I treat myself to an apple strudel

Everything here is DELICIOUS!!! From the veggie rolls and mini quiche to the eclairs and vanilla slice to the swiss buns and multi grain bread to ... I COULD go on! The KC Bakery was my favorite place to eat during my visit to Western Canada. Staff is friendly and owner/baker Bruno's Swiss accent adds to the old world charm. You won't be sorry you stopped - 3 or 4 times!

Full Description of Establishment

Let your nose be your guide you as you enter the Kimberley City Bakery. Known for its authentic German breads and pastries, it has arguably the best apple strudel in all of Canada, if not North America.

The aroma of fresh baked breads lasts all day, but it is best to get there when they first open, to enjoy a warm strudel or pretzel.

Open for lunch, the City Bakery offers a smorgasbord of soups, sandwiches, meat pies and, of course, fresh bread and pastries.

Grab a treat for the road and walk through the Kimberley Platzl. Modelled on an Alpine theme, the Platzl has an European village atmosphere and features Canada's largest free standing Cuckoo Clock.

Explanation of Live Music Scene (if there is one)

A timber-frame bandstand for live performances is located in the centre of the Platzl. If you choose outdoor seating, you'll be sure to hear the entertainment during a city festival.
