Lee Lake is a front-country recreation destination popular among locals, especially before the rivers open for angling in mid-June. The surrounding foothills ranch country sits beautifully against a backdrop of sharply rising Rocky Mountains.
Paved Road
Stocked rainbow trout provide steady work for spincasters fishing from shore or from boats. Fly fishing is also popular but difficult from shore because of close vegetation and steep banks.
A 5 km/h speed limit for power boats keeps the surface calm for paddlers.
Lee Lake is adjacent to Secondary Highway 507, a few minutes drive south of its junction with Highway 3 at Burmis.
Alberta Conservation Association maintains a fishing access and boat launch just off Highway 507 at north end of lake. Arriving from Highway 3, the access area is visible before the lake itself.

Have fished Lee Lake in the past with great results. Was there today(Monday, Sept 5th) and catching was fine but several fish had what appeared to be growths under their skin. Certainly would not eat them, any ideas on the problem ?
