Description of Lodging Property

Moss Mountain Inn is a small bed and breakfast on the western boundary of Glacier National Park, a wild setting with sweet views and gourmet organic breakfasts.

All three double-occupancy guest rooms have a private bath. Two third floor suites include balconies overlooking the mountains of Glacier, and a third room on the first floor has a private entrance through our passive solar greenhouse and accommodates pets. Breakfast is served on the second floor overlooking a wild bird habitat and pond.

Moss Mountain Inn is located on a scenic byway passing through the Flathead National Forest into Glacier National Park, one mile from the Glacier Rim access to the North Fork of the National Wild and Scenic Flathead River. It's only a short drive to the western entrance to the park and numerous river accesses, about fifty miles south of the Canadian border.

Moss Mountain Inn's six acres has been designated a Certified Wildlife Habitat by the National Wildlife Federation. As long-time residents and wilderness adventurers, we offer expert advice on all types of outdoor activities. We also operate a fully organic vegetable and herb garden and a wild bird habitat.

Lodging Style and Amenities

Moss Mountain Inn serves exclusively gourmet organic breakfasts using items grown in an on-site organic garden and locally produced eggs. The owners prepare souffles, home-made breads and pastries, parfaits, and free-range meats, and cater to special needs diets as necessary. Guest areas include a fully stocked library, entertainment area and a solarium with sitting area and gym. Guests are encouraged to explore our six acres of woodland and garden.

All suites contain either a queen bed or two twin beds. Quaking Aspens is decorated in the Montana style, in autumn shades, including a writer's desk. The Garden Room is done in shades of yellow and green, and looks out on the mountains, bird habitat and solarium. The Virgin Territory Suite is decorated in shades of blue using artwork, batiks and decor from our home in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
