I went by peigan crafts and is there anywhere else that Peigan crafts is selling their moccossins? I purchased a pair previously and had I known they were going out of business, I would have purchased more than two pairs. Any chance they are selling the moccossins elsewhere?

Bad news - looks like Peigancraft is out of business. Went by their store today in Brockett and a sign said they went out of business on the 1st of June. Too bad - loved their moccasins!

I bought moccasins for family and friends many moons ago when I had the good fortune to be in Blackfoot country. When my son's finally started showing some wear, he asked for another pair. I could not find you online anywhere at the time. I am so happy to find this website! I ended up purchasing him a different pair of moccasins here at a shoe store; and, while he was happy to get them, it just wasn't the same magic as yours. I will be wearing my pair of yours in an upcoming stage production--I am so attached to my Canadian Blackfoot Moccasins. Now I know where to go when mine need replaced! Thank you!

Watch Piikani Blackfoot artisans make moccasins, mukluks, and mitts.

Description of Store or Stores

Peigan Crafts Ltd. was established in 1976 to manufacture authentic 100% First Nations made moccasins, mukluks and mitts. The factory is the first of its type in Canada. The scenic view of the Rocky Mountains provides a majestic backdrop for the factory.

Each product passed through strict quality controls. The products are of rugged construction, produced to ensure top quality for comfort, satisfaction and durability. They provide fleece-lined comfort second to none.

The glass beadwork on each product instills cultural meaning. It is unique and distinctive of traditional Piikani Blackfoot designs and is symbolic of the land. The colorful designs are a continuance of earlier methods used for decoration and adornment that consisted of seeds, berries, porcupine quills, animal teeth, and furs.

Every Peigan Crafts product contains a part of the Blackfoot heritage. Each is created by unequaled craftsmanship and the pride of generations of the Piikani Nation.
