The Bistro is located in a small house and eclectically decorated with all things French. In summer, tables are scattered through the perrennial gardens and onto the deck. In winter, a fire burns in the fireplace at the end of the cozy diningroom.
Menus change seasonally. Breakfast and Lunch menus feature crepes and benedicts and quiches, as well as hearty chicken salad, burgers with flair, and a terrific Salade Nicoise. The homeade soups and sides like roquefort-laced potato salad and clove- scented roasted- beet salad are remarkably good.
On the dinner menu you'll find classics like Steak Frites, Mussels du Jour, Braised Short Ribs, Roasted Chicken and daily specials showcasing seasonal ingredients.

From downtown Whitefish take Baker Avenue north over the railroad tracks. Stay straight , Baker Avenue becomes Wisconsin Avenue north of the tracks, Rising Sun Bistro is located on Wisconsin Avenue at the corner of Denver, in a small house. Parking and the entrance are at the back of the house.
Well once again we were thoroughly delighted with our meal at the Rising Sun Bistro. The staff was attentive, friendly and quick. The kitchen outdid itself and made us feel like we were the only customer in the place. There is only one word for this nice little eatery: OUTSTANDING!
