Spirit Trail Adventures near Kimberley, BC specialize in small group, eco-friendly and educational soft outdoor adventures which focus is on the well-being of guests and the environment. Situated in the Canadian Rockies, Spirit Trail Lodge operates in a B&B fashion with 2 guest rooms. The cozy mountain home includes a dining room, living room, small library, fireplace and a beautiful big deck with a peaceful view of the valley, mountains and the ponds. Their private beach and natural swimming pond is fed by mountain spring water.

Lodging Style and Amenities

The lodge is adult-oriented and overnight accommodation can include activity programs. Summer activities feature mountain trail rides, horse pack trips, wagon rides and guided hiking. The summer season can also include lodge or tipi accommodation. Winter activities range from Iglooing, cross-country skiing, horse sleigh rides and a wildlife safari - watch wild animals in their traditional wintering grounds and learn about local history.

A popular and unique package in the winter is accommodation in the lodge or Igloo and/or dinner in an Igloo. The unique spiral shelter is handmade entirely out of snow as the Inuit have built for centuries. It is conveniently located next to the cabin and facilities. The Igloo Dinner package includes a snowshoe tour, toboganning, campfire story telling and a wonderful salmon dinner served with all the trimmings.

Driving Directions

Highway signage is on Highway 95A between Kimberley and the Hwy 93/95 Wasa Junction (approximately 18 km (11 mi) north of Kimberley). Turn west onto Lost Dog Forest Service Road and follow the gravel road and the blue 'Spirit Trail Lodge' signs for approximately 10.5 km (6.5 mi) until you reach the Lodge.
