Description of Lodging Property

An ideal get-away for Nordic skiiers, Stillwater Mountain Lodge offers a secluded retreat 8 miles from Whitefish, Montana. The lodge offers two fully appointed suites with a community kitchen, plus a studio unit with a small kitchen. You'll appreciate the great hospitality of owners Reid and Kirsten Sabin and Tom and Meagen Healy.

The Lodge grooms 20 kilometers of cross-country ski trail on the adjacent Stillwater State Forest. 20 kilometers of groomed cross country ski trails wind through old growth forests, roll over ridge tops and meander along lakeshores. Winding through old-growth forests, rolling over ridges and meandering along lakeshores, ski trails are groomed for skate-skiing, with a track set on the side for classic or "diagonal stride."

Dog lovers will appreciate that several miles of "dog-friendly" trail are provided, allowing you and your four-legged friend to get your heart rates up - or try ski-joring with your hound. (Dog owners are asked to keep their dogs under control and trails clean.)

Skiiers can purchase daily passes or an annual pass for individuals or family.

The Lodge also is a good base for mountain biking and fishing in the summer.
