Overview

A sulphur spring colours this unusually large beaver point aquamarine. The beaver dam itself is exceptionally long and sturdy. The large beaver house is easily observed from the top of the dam.

Best Times to Go

Late summer or fall, for easier wading across the Crowsnest River.

What You Should Know Before You Go

You will have to wade across the river twice to climb upon the dam, just once to view it.

Driving Directions

Park beside the railway bridge crossing the Crowsnest River just west of Frank Slide. Walk under the bridge and follow the river a few hundred yards to the dam.
