Brief Description of Establishment

The Brickhouse Bar & Grill is a newer addition to Fernie's downtown nightlife and culinary experiences. This restaurant and lounge is housed in the historical 1909 Imperial Bank of Canada building. The bank operated in Fernie until 1963 after the Imperial Bank merged with the Canadian Bank of Commerce in 1961. From that point on the building was mostly occupied by successive law practices.

Chernoff Architecture from Calgary, Alberta purchased the building in 2005 and the building was renovated adhering to the original architectural style. The Brickhouse is located on the main floor of the building, and the Brickhouse Games Room and Lounge is in the basement showcasing exposed brick, fire red roof, original art from locals and music entertainment.
