It’s right there, on Main, in the old bank building right in the middle of town. If you miss it you’ll regret it. Sisters Jessi Collyer and Becky Anderson run The Meeting Grounds and it’s your chance to taste a bit of Montana. Most of their offerings are locally grown or made. They serve breakfast and lunch, Monday through Friday, but they also serve locally baked Mennonite bread with their toast and sandwiches. The same folks also provide them with cinnamon and caramel rolls for the munchies any time of day. And then there are Jesse’s killer muffins, cookies and homemade soup. Top it off with a cup of locally roasted coffee or espresso.
You can also order a great box lunch for your day hike along the front. Just because you’re up in the mountains doesn’t mean you need to suffer. And if you have any questions about the trail you’re planning to hike, ask Jessi. She and her husband have hiked most of them in the area. It’s a chance to get some firsthand information about the area. If you’re into horseback trips, check with Becky. That’s her love.
So there you have it, The Meeting Grounds, a great place to meet, eat, and get some inside information on the Front.
