Description of Event

The Tamarack Festival is a celebration of trees, specifically the Western Larch, a rare deciduous conifer species. You will find the needles of the "tamarack" trees turning gold at this time of year and then dropping their needles like golden snow. There are drives, walks and bike rides to view these beautiful trees, including Gus, the world's largest western larch. Along with celebrating these trees. there is a Tour of the Arts, with open studios, fun run, Arts and Crafts fair, quilt sale, kids activities, and more.
